Museum Rules
SCM is a place where kids are encouraged to touch everything—to think, play and create. In order to make everyone’s Museum experience a positive one, we ask all visitors to read and follow our Museum rules. Museum rules are based on safety, common sense, and courtesy to other visitors.
Accessibility
SCM is committed to serving visitors with special needs. Our museum has wheelchair friendly flooring throughout. Members of our Visitor Services staff are trained to help visitors with special needs experience the Museum installations.
Strollers are NOT permitted in the Museum gallery space. Visitors must park their strollers in the designated indoor stroller parking area. The Stellar Children’s Museum is not responsible for damage or loss of strollers or other personal items.
- All children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult while at the SCM, except as otherwise noted for classes and special programs.
- Parents/chaperones must stay with children at all times and are responsible for their safety and discipline.
- We reserve the right to ask children to “sit out” for part of their visit if they are unable to follow the rules.
- Visitors or groups who do not adhere to the rules will be asked to leave early without a refund.
- Adults 16 and older unaccompanied by a child will be asked to present ID at the Welcome Desk.
- Tickets are valid for the entire day, however please keep your tickets handy to present it at the front desk upon re-entry.
- Use caution on stairs.
- Do not bring food or drinks into the exhibit areas. Enjoy your snacks at our Cafe, or outside the Museum.
- Do not use pens or markers in the galleries.
